112 Italian and European exhibitors enliven the fair in 6,000 square meters of exhibition space; also of note are the 35 specialized talks including conferences and technical workshops with high-profile speakers, and the debut in Italy of the IPC Hand Soldering Competition-the Hand Soldering Championship organized by IPC.

To meet in this unique professional development and networking opportunity, PCB manufacturers, PCB distributors, subcontractors, EMS, PCB material suppliers, service companies, providers of design-related services and tools, PCB and PCBA certification bodies and companies, and analysis and testing laboratories.

The opening of the fair

Opening of the fair in the presence of Councillor Nerio Dalla Vecchia of the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce Board, Stefania Calcaterra, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse Italia, Luca Giovelli, PCB Group Manager of Assodel, and Gabriele Braga, Managing Board of ANIE Electronic Components. Stefania Calcaterra, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse Italia, said, "Opening today the second edition of Focus on PCB with a remarkable growth is an unmistakable sign that we have taken the right path, a path that has been able to lead us to fully hit that need sought by many to create a qualified point of contact between all the actors of the PCB supply chain. This meeting results in a dense exchange of ideas, in the focus of needs, facilitates the development of new proposals that meet the needs of a constantly developing market."

"I hope that Focus on PCB can consolidate itself as a meeting point for printed circuit board companies, at the Italian and European level. With their participation, the exhibitors wanted to represent their identity, and they show themselves ready to offer the technologies and services that will allow them to successfully face the future challenges of the sector," added Luca Giovelli, head of Assodel's PCB Group:

For Gabriele Braga, Managing Board of ANIE Componenti Elettronici, "in recent years we have witnessed a real upheaval in the market, which has led many companies to change their business model and innovate products, giving movement to a situation that had crystallized at the beginning of the pandemic. PCBs are strategic components, and as ANIE Electronic Components we are present at Focus on PCB with a view to supporting the revitalization of the industry."

Finally, the comment of Nerio Dalla Vecchia, Board Member of the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce: "The manufacturing of electronic boards and components involves multiple sectors and activities, with important spillovers not only in the local area, but throughout Italy. With a view to reshoring, it is necessary to regain skills that have been delegated elsewhere, so as not to block key national sectors, such as automotive."
