Conrad Electronic launches marketplace for business customers in Italy

Aiming to become Europe's leading sourcing platform for technical needs, Conrad, in addition to its own assortment, now also offers assortments from other manufacturers and distributors on its sourcing platform

Improving people's quality of life with the help of innovative technologies and simplifying their daily working life has always been the goal of Conrad, since its founding by Max Conrad in the 1920s. With the Conrad Sourcing Platform, the company boasts a wide range of technical-operational equipment for professionals. This year, the German family business celebrates its 100th anniversary and 10 years of presence in Italy: in fact, Conrad Italia was founded in 2013.

In recent years, Conrad Electronic has clearly focused on b2b customers and digital business and has steadily implemented its platform strategy. New marketplace as an integral part of the sourcing platform

The launch of the marketplace in Italy is another milestone in Conrad's history. Italian business customers can now also benefit from the rapidly growing product range on the Conrad Sourcing Platform. Through the integration of products from various marketplace partners, companies now have access to tens of thousands more new products on the company's website in addition to the well-known Conrad assortment. "As an integral part of our business model, this expansion offers our business customers an even broader and deeper range of products and thus comprehensive coverage of their technical needs through a single purchasing channel," says de Groot again.

This is good news not only for customers, but also for manufacturers and distributors who wish to use the marketplace as a new sales channel or to expand their operations abroad. "With us, potential partners can reach new target groups quickly and easily, without having to make primary marketing and acquisition expenditures," explains Rick Huisken, director Marketplace International.
