After the good numbers achieved by the 2022 edition of SPS Italia (36,522 visitors and 802 exhibitors), Messe Frankfurt Italia presented its exhibition project for 2023, also scheduled to take place in Parma May 23-25.

The press conference was held at the MADE Competence Center Industry 4.0. "It is always a pleasure to meet at the presentation of SPS Italia. There are many initiatives in the field for the 11th edition, all in the direction of an increasingly close dialogue between technology suppliers and manufacturing. The response is positive, with 6 pavilions and new memberships growing by 20 percent we are optimistic and look forward to the May fair as a crucial moment for innovation in our companies, to discover the enabling technologies for the factory, learn about new trends, and discuss the green and digital transformation of manufacturing," said Donald Wich, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Italy.

Andrea Bianchi, president of ANIE Automazione, insisted on some representative market data: "ANIE Automazione confirms its participation in SPS Italia through several initiatives. Alongside the institutional presence, with a stand dedicated to the Association, we will develop during the three days a technological path through a series of events organized by our working groups in addition to an important collaboration with the OPC-UA Foundation. The year 2022 has been full of satisfaction with the market growing by more than 20 percent according to the latest estimates; while not forgetting the general uncertainty, members express themselves in positive tones and assume a small further growth for 2023. We trust, of course, in the confirmation of the rates of the Transition 4.0 Plan and in the improvement of geopolitical conditions that have significantly affected the availability of materials and energy costs."

Six pavilions will host the best of automation technologies serving the transformation of industry to 4.0. The District 4.0 area with working demos and application cases illustrates the potential of Digital&Software, Robotics and Mechatronics, and Additive Manufacturing solutions. A new one is added to the already established thematic areas, the "Sustainable Innovation" area, which will enhance the role of smart production solutions with the three main meanings: Automation at the Center of Sustainability; Digital as Technology to Support Sustainability; and Emerging Technologies for Sustainability. The theme will also be central in the conference schedule, as well as at the inaugural panel discussion, scientific conferences, along with 5G, additive manufacturing and cyber security.
