Arrow Electronics announced at electronica 2022 JetCarrier96, a 96Boards Enterprise Edition-compliant carrier board for the popular system-on-module family Nvidia Jetson, with which it is possible to speed up the design of custom carrier boards for applications such as autonomous machines, smart vision, diagnostic health imaging, and AIoT.

To support rapid prototyping, the JetCarrier96 carrier board features a standard microATX form factor and will work with power supplies, chassis, and various ready-to-use desktop computer peripherals. The reference design was developed with the latest technologies to accelerate time-to-market and supports high-speed peripheral expansion via four PCIe card slots, four USB 2.0, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 and a 1 Gb Ethernet LAN. JetCarrier96 supports sensor expansion via a 96Boards mezzanine connector, a Qwicc-compatible connector, a mikroBUS™ socket, and two 15-pin camera connectors.

As a member of the NVIDIA Partner Network, the company eInfochips of Arrow Electronics is playing an innovator role in the JetCarrier96 reference project. "The edge AI megatrend continues to proliferate and, with it, the technical challenges customers face in bringing an edge AI device to market," said Aiden Mitchell, senior vice president, global marketing and engineering at Arrow Electronics. "JetCarrier96 helps them fulfill our mission to provide customers with innovative reference platforms, enhanced with eInfochips' edge-to-cloud AI product engineering services."
