The sixth and final episode of the second season of the global podcast series produced by Farnell, The Innovation Experts. This time the protagonist is Red Lion Controls, one of the world's leading manufacturers of technology solutions for communication, industrial automation and networking.

The company's technologies enable customers around the world to gain real-time data visibility, which promotes greater productivity. In this new episode of the podcast, Red Lion Controls discusses how companies can leverageedge intelligence and embedded systems to access valuable process and automation data to improve manufacturing operations. Barry Turner, Technical Business Development Manager at Red Lion, shares his views on the key requirements for creating a framework for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and highlights the crucial need for convergence between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).
