Turin hosts theEPoSS Annual Forum, an annual event that represents the Smart System Community's most important gathering: an international forum for in-depth and up-to-date information on industry and research topics and trends. EPoSS is a European technology platform that reaches out across European research institutions and tech providers, on electronics and smart systems.

The event is hosted by the MESAP Innovation Cluster for Smart Products and Smart Manufacturing at the Unione Industriali Torino Convention Center from Oct. 4 to 7 and features among the protagonists the Piedmontese Prima Electro.

In particular, on Thursday, Oct. 6 Convergent Photonics, a Prima Industrie Group company, will present in a talk the European project iQonic, which has involved Diode Fab of via Schiaparelli, another Prima Industrie Group company, in the development of an assembly platform for optoelectronic components that, thanks to a series of sensors and processing performed with artificial intelligence techniques capable of providing feedback on process quality, have made it possible to reduce or even eliminate production defects.

In addition, as MESAP Associates and partners of the event, on Friday, Oct. 7, Prima Industrie and Prima Electro, in the HQTCs of Collegno and the Barone Canavese plant, respectively, will host the visit of an international delegation of some major companies, including Bosch, Continental, ST Microelectronics, Siemens, Fraunhofer, Cea and VTT.
