21 to 23 June Analog Devices was among the protagonists of embedded world 2022 a Nuremberg with numerous demonstrations of technologies applied to different sectors: healthcare, automotive, industrial automation, power management technologies and batteries.

Healthcare and wellness

For this sector, Analog offers a complete platform for the development of wearable health and fitness products that integrate sensitive signal acquisition, analogue processing, microprocessor-based analysis and control, and more, to monitor all vital parameters.

Automotive

Analog Devices presented its new LED controllers for intelligent management of headlights and other exterior lights, as well as a specific device for driver monitoring. Demonstrations covered authentication solutions to address various aspects of safety, a dimming controller to configure a display in high-contrast mode, the significant reduction of energy consumption, and LCD panels.

Industry

Demonstrations dedicated to artificial vision 'at the edge' highlighted how artificial intelligence systems can be powered by a simple button cell; a MotionPy MicroPython development board for precision motor control and a live demonstration of 3D photobooth for volumetric acquisition via ADI's optical sensor (ToF) were then presented.

Power solutions

The embedded power management IC portfolio was presented with a series of demonstrations, including four times faster cell charging through small devices. Also attracting interest was the reference design for small system power management, which enables full functionality for every aspect within a USB-C power system and includes full management of charging functions, cell monitoring and residual energy indicator, without the need for software coding.
