Rohm was awarded for the first time by EcoVadis with the top rating of "Platinum" for its 2021 sustainability performance. The 'Platinum' rating is given to the best of around 80,000 companies evaluated in 160 countries in 200 sectors. The rating is given in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable sourcing of resources. There are also four levels of classification: Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 25%) and Bronze (top 50%). The results of the EcoVadis assessment are recognised by many global companies as one of the most important factors in supplier selection.

Rohm received the highest level of "Outstanding" performance scores in the environmental field, for its goal of bringing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050 and for its long-standing efforts in promoting greening in Japan and abroad. The company also received high scores for Labor and Human Rights and Sustainable Resource Sourcing and ranked in the top 1% of companies in all sectors.
