North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers recorded $3.72bn in worldwide sales in September 2021 (three-month moving average basis), according to a report published by Semi 21 October. The revenue figure is 1.7% higher than the August 2021 revenue of $3.66bn and 35.5% higher than the September 2020 revenue of $2.74bn.
"Monthly billings of North American-based semiconductor equipment manufacturers increased in September, approaching the record reached in July," said Ajit Manocha, president and CEO of Semi. "Ongoing growth in key end-market segments and in silicon continues to drive gains for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, including equipment."
