About Bourns

The company was founded in 1947 by Marlan and Rosemary Bourns, a husband and wife team with a simple philosophy: provide high quality products, responsive service and high value for customers. The key to success at the time was developing electronic components for the nascent aerospace industry. Today, the second generation is at the helm of the company, carrying on the same values on which it was founded over seventy years ago. Bourns components are now used in automobiles, mobile phones, laptop computers, and X-ray sensors implanted in medical devices. At the helm of the company is the second generation, carrying on the same values on which it was founded more than seventy years ago.
