Analog Devices will be present at the fair SPS 2021 in Nuremberg, Germany, from 23 to 25 November. On its stand, ADI will present its complete portfolio of sensing and connectivity technologies, platforms and solutions for the digital industry. SPS is back in attendance, but in a hybrid format, offering content in parallel online.

A featured demonstration at the ADI stand will be dedicated to 10BASE-T1L connectivity. During the demo, a process automation network based on 10BASE-T1L connectivity will be demonstrated, consisting of multiple field instruments and sensor nodes connected to a full field switch, with multi-protocol support. Interacting live with the diagnostic functions, visitors will experience how ADI's solution can reduce system downtime and support optimised traffic management with its low power and long range connectivity, capable of covering over 1 km.

ADI will also be showing its latest AMR (Anisotropic Magneto-Resistive) technology, which can make the transition from optical to magnetic technology definitive.

Another demonstration will illustrate ADI's latest ToF offering, via a 1Mpixel CMOS image sensor, which can be combined with machine vision systems for asset tracking, position verification in production flows and in-line quality control.

Condition Monitoring and Maintenance

For condition monitoring, Analog Devices will showcase its Galileo platform, which provides continuous Ethernet access to asset health data. The platform uses a MEMS vibration sensor for high-performance, low-power, low-noise vibration detection combined with ultra-low power processing and 10BASE-T1L single-pair Ethernet connectivity that supports distances up to 1 km, providing both accurate vibration data and power over two wires. The smart sensor can be implemented in industrial applications in remote and harsh conditions, including safe zone 0 applications.

Finally, ADI solutions also find application in the area of predictive maintenance of electric motors. Here the solution to be seen will be OtoSense Smart Motor Sensor, a complete hardware and software solution.
