STMicroelectronics has become an Anchor Partner of Startup Autobahn, a programme created and managed by Plug and Play, a Silicon Valley accelerator and investor.

Startup Autobahn organises events throughout the year to bring together corporate partners and selected start-ups. The different platforms include in-depth presentations, individual presentations, cross-collaboration days and private meetings between partners and selected startups. The programme has already successfully connected startups with established brands to activate powerful new concepts in areas such as battery charging, supply chain and material management , smart mobility, efficient production, recycling and CO2reduction.

Startup Autobahn's partners include leading automotive brands and suppliers of various automotive technologies. Welcoming ST to the programme, Sascha Karimpour, Managing Director Plug and Play Germany, said: "This partnership fits perfectly into our ecosystem, which covers the automotive value chain. The semiconductor industry is currently enabling powerful innovations in automotive technology and will play an important role as software and IT will be crucial in the car of the future".
