Following the securing of funding from major investors last year, Percepio accelerated its growth strategy. The company hired a sales manager for the Nordic region, a senior FAE and several software developers , and moved into new office space that is twice the size of its previous location.

Percepio is one of the world's leading providers of visual trace tools for diagnosing software systems for embedded and IoT applications, both in development and during operation in the field.

Ready to explore the opportunities offered by new markets, such as IoT and automotive, Percepio is also able to adequately support new product launches throughout the year.

"The availability of a dedicated sales team for the Nordic region," emphasised Mike Skrtic, VP Sale & Marketing at Percepio, " is a milestone for the company. Although our first customers included a number of Swedish industrial groups, we have since focused primarily on our global distributor network and have lost sight of the potential of the domestic market. There is a climate of innovation in Sweden and we are actively looking for development partners.

The recently announced cooperation agreement with Lauterbach of Germany to combine Percepio's advanced Tracealyzer diagnostics with Lauterbach's high-end tracing technology represents a real breakthrough for Percepio and provides the company with the opportunity to expand its presence in the vast automotive market.

Percepio's Tracealyzer tool can be seen as a 'surveillance camera' for embedded software, allowing users to visually identify and analyse issues found in software behaviour records during development and testing. Also from Percepio, DevAlert is a cloud service for remote monitoring of field-installed IoT devices that combines automatic error reporting with visual trace diagnostics and is based on Tracealyzer.

As more and more embedded development projects target the IoT sector, the availability of a solution like DevAlert gives Percepio the opportunity to enter a market with huge untapped potential.

Seizing these opportunities, particularly in Sweden, is the goal of Niclas Lindström, the new sales manager for the Nordic region, who brings to Percepio 20 years' experience in the Swedish and global markets and a customer-focused sales approach. Niclas will be supported on the technical side by new senior FAE Kristoffer Martinsson, who has more than 15 years' experience in embedded development tools, particularly those for debugging and tracing MCUs and MPUs.

Percepio works actively with major embedded software operating system vendors and is a partner of Cypress, (part of Infineon Technologies), NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics, Renesas Electronics and Wind River Systems. The company is also a member of the Amazon Web Services Partner Network. Headquartered in Västerås, Sweden, Percepio was founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Applied Research Department of Mälardalen University.
