To answer the survey promoted by Farnell e element14 and launched on International Women's Day, there is time until 15 May . This was communicated by a company in a note a few days ago, extending the original deadline of 30 April.
The initiative is designed to help shed light on the experiences, challenges and opportunities in the engineering/electronics sector for women. Insights from the survey will be published on Women in Engineering Day, 23 June 2021.
The technology sector is one of the areas where gender diversity has much room for improvement. In the US, 47% of the workforce is female, but in the IT sector, the percentage of women in employment falls to 25% (Semi and Accenture Research data).
