Following the evaluation received in 2020, Socomec obtained a score of 76/100 and was awarded the "Platinum" medal, another improvement after the "Gold" medal that the company has been awarded every year since 2016. We are talking about the rating done by Ecovadis, agency that deals with corporate sustainability assessments.

The increase in Socomec's rating is directly linked to the increase in commitment to the Group's ethics policy and compliance. In 2020, Socomec has drawn up a formal code of conduct and trained all its employees worldwide on its implementation. Socomec has also set up a whistleblowing system enabling employees and business partners to report any situation contrary to the general interest of the Group (corruption, conflict of interest, moral or sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.). The company has also adopted a process to manage its Social Responsibility Policy (CSR) performance as effectively as possible, demonstrating its desire for continuous improvement in this area.

Ivan Steyert, Group CEO, comments: "At Socomec, through our offering and our commitment to research and development of innovations, we are working hard to provide beneficial and revolutionary solutions in the field of energy management. At the same time, as an independent company, we also want to pay particular attention to our environmental and social responsibility".

A globally recognized assessment

The EcoVadis rating is based on a platform that measures companies' environmental, social, ethical and CSR actions. At the end of the assessment, advisory sheets listing strengths and areas for improvement are offered to companies to help them improve their CSR performance, beyond the regulatory framework. Global companies assess their business partners through EcoVadis to promote supply chain resilience, encouraging them to go beyond mere compliance. This leads assessed companies to measure themselves against each other and, therefore, practice continuous improvement in their CSR performance. The EcoVadis platform is used by more than 45,000 companies of all sizes in 155 countries. 70% of CAC40 companies and more than 350 large international groups use the EcoVadis platform.
