Lasting eight weeks and kicking off April 1, the second free Extreme Academy Live training course on Wireless Networking from ExtremeNetworks, which focuses on the importance of wireless networks, how they work, and the best design strategies for secure and robust infrastructures.

Extreme Academy is an academic curriculum designed to educate IT professionals on networking, security and cloud fundamentals, as well as machine learning and artificial intelligence. All Extreme Academy Live courses are delivered via streaming and are accessible for free to everyone regardless of their level of experience in networking technologies or country, with the goal of expanding access to technical training and reducing the current networking skills shortage.

Ed Meyercord, President and CEO of Extreme Networks, said, "Training is one of Extreme Networks' contributions to the economic recovery that will follow the end of the pandemic, as it provides people with the skills to get back on their feet and find gainful employment, and companies with the profiles they need for their digitization processes. Extreme Academy's goal is to train 50,000 new network specialists with a very strong background in cloud-related technologies."

The first Extreme Academy Live course on networking basics is preparatory to registration for the second course, and is available for free on-demand on the Extreme Networks YouTube channel. The course has been viewed 25,000 times, for over 8,000 hours of streaming in just three months.

Approximately 10,000 students are enrolled in Extreme Academy Live and over 300 have completed the first course, passed the certification exam, and earned the Extreme Networks Associate designation.
