ON Semiconductor participates in embedded world 2021 Digital with 21 product demonstrations, tours of some of the latest devices and a demonstration of a complete 'sensor to cloud' solution.

"We will ensure that visitors to the virtual stand enjoy an engaging and stimulating experience," say the Phoenix-based company. The 21 demonstrations will be organised in six dedicated reception areas covering the following topics: high-voltage power, intelligent image detection, e-market places (i.e. meeting and exchange places) for IoT, IoT sensor systems, vertical IoT solutions, and smart power and control. Demonstrations will address a variety of applications including smart access control, hospital asset monitoring and power consumption measurement at the edge .

ON Semiconductor will provide further details of its new family of sensor platforms that integrate with the Bosch IoT Suite. Bosch. The software platform for IoT solutions is already used to connect more than 15 million sensors, devices and appliances to users and business systems. Together with Bosch, ON Semiconductor will highlight the simplicity of accessing IoT through a complete (end-to-end) platform from sensor to cloud using ON Semiconductor's solutions and the Bosch ecosystem.

Other interesting points will include:

  • The new NCP51810 gallium nitride (GaN) gate driver takes full advantage of the opportunities offered by GaN-enhanced wide band gap (WBG) devices for smaller and more efficient power supplies for embedded systems. Operating at 150V, the NCP51810 is ideally suited for use with 48V systems in applications such as point-of-load (PoL) regulators, industrial power modules and intermediate bus converters (IBCs) such as those used in data centres;
  • the NCL31000 smart LED driver, used in a Visible Light Communication (VLC) demonstration. This technology is already being used to ensure high positioning accuracy indoors, where it is possible to achieve accuracy levels measured in centimetres rather than metres. The NCL31000 intelligent LED driver enables full dimming to total blackout, can power the entire system, and provides precise measurement of all system currents and voltages.

ON Semicondutor also offers three webinars:

  • Power over Ethernet and connected lighting
  • Event-triggered image capture using the Smart Shot Camera RSL10
  • Implementation of a real-time localisation system using Quuppa's angle of arrival on an RSL-10-based sensor node
