"The year of the pandemic was difficult for everyone, but it was also the year we touched on how essential technology plays a role in all aspects of our lives." This was said by Lisa Su, president and CEO of AMD, opening her January 12 keynote address at CES 2021.
And the first aspect highlighted by Su is that of medical and scientific research: several institutes around the world have intensified their efforts in the study of the pandemic and the development of vaccines, thanks to the computing power offered by AMD solutions, which has also established a fund for the fight against Covid-19.

The AMD CEO's keynote was also attended by several representatives of the main partners of the American multinational: Panos Panay, Chief Product Officer of Microsoft, Enrique Lores, President and CEO of HP, Franรงois Chardavoine, Vice President of Technology of Lucasfilm, Yang Yuanqing, Chairman and CEO of Lenovo, Toto Wolff, CEO of Mercedes F1. Along with Wolff, Lisa Sue was also interviewed by Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion driver.
