Agile Analog, a manufacturer of highly configurable analogue IP systems, has signed a distribution contract for Europe with Redtree Solutions.

Agile Analog provides a range of customised analogue IPs for any semiconductor process. Redtree Solutions is a leading European distribution company, servicing more than 500 customers in more than 19 countries. Its engineers help customers find the optimal architecture for their electronic systems, using the solutions and expertise of its partners. In particular, the RedASIC service offers companies developing custom chips a solution for every step of the process, from programme management and architecture development, through circuit design to wafer production, packaging, testing, homologation and certification.

With the new contract, which exclusively entrusts Redtree Solutions with distribution in Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States, the UK distributor expands its offering of Agile Analog configurable IPs for common analogue functions such as ADCs, DACs, LDOs, temperature sensors and current and voltage references in its ASIC product and service portfolio.

Jean-Marie Houillon, Vice President Strategic Marketing & Alliances at Redtree Solutions, said, "Our new partnership with Agile Analog enhances the analog IP element of our RedASIC ecosystem. We are now able to offer customers not only a much broader range of IP, but we can also tailor the specifications to exactly match their design, foundry and process requirements."

Agile Analog enables Redtree Solutions to meet its customers' overwhelming demand for easy-to-integrate analog IP. This is because the artificial intelligence-driven platform technology that underpins Agile Analog's products enables rapid and virtually unlimited configuration of individual blocks of basic IP, while maintaining high quality output. With the support of Redtree Solutions' sales engineers, customers can specify Agile Analog IP blocks that perfectly fit their application needs.

"As the market for Internet of Things devices and multi-sensor systems grows, analogue is becoming an increasingly important part of chip development by companies, but there is a shortage of technical experts in this field. This is why we are confident that there will be strong demand from our customers for the configurable IP offered by Agile Analog," added Houillon.

John Hartley, Chief Commercial Officer of Agile Analog, said: "By partnering with Redtree Solutions, we are able to offer more customers the benefits of Agile Analog products, namely shorter time-to-market, greater integration of analogue functions on the chip and improved design quality, which is evident at tape-out.
