Mouser Electronics has announced the winners of the 18th Create the Future Design Contesta global challenge for engineers to design innovative products in seven categories: Aerospace & Defence, Automotive & Transport, Consumer Products, Electronics/Sensors/IoT, Manufacturing/Automation/Robotics, Medical, Sustainable Technologies and Future Energy.
Co-sponsors of the initiative, produced by Tech Briefs Media Group, are Intel e Analog Devices, to which is also added Comsol.
The first prize of $20,000 went to the team from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, USA, which developed a nature-inspired plastic film to combat contamination (RepelWrap).

These are the other winning projects: Niobium connector (USA) in the aerospace and defence category; low-noise laser for LIDAR (Switzerland) in the automotive category; Ring, adjustable prosthetic leg for children (Serbia) in the consumer products category; Print IC, flexible and recyclable integrated circuits and systems (FLEEP Technologies(Italy) in the electronics category; Radibond, lightweight transport materials assembly (Denmark) in the manufacturing, robotics and automation category; a chip for painless defibrillation (USA) in the medical category; Flash graphene (USA) in the sustainable technologies category.

Mouser receives four awards from Molex for its performance in 2019
