The Italy-Canada Business Forum on Artificial Intelligence opens today. The event includes three half-days of virtual meetings, conferences and thematic workshops on healthcare, life sciences, logistics, industry 4.0 and smart mobility, and is organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada.
From today until Friday 20 November, Canadian and Italian experts in the field will meet to share knowledge and expertise and encourage the development of partnerships between the two countries' leading research centres, universities, companies and innovation clusters.
Underlying this is the idea of facilitating technology transfer pathways and optimising the contribution of AI and BigData to the new post-COVID-19 era.
"Artificial Intelligence has the potential to revolutionize our economies and enable extraordinary progress towards new forms of sustainable development," said Alexandra Bugailiskis, Ambassador of Canada to the Italian Republic. "With over 800 companies engaged in the creation of new AI models and a technology ecosystem rich in digital talent, Canada is one of the founding countries of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence. In this phase of international health emergency, the Italy-Canada Business Forum represents an important opportunity for exchange and comparison between some of the most representative realities of our countries".
Participation in the event, which is held in English, is free of charge, after registering on the website of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada.
