The 2020 #DKBack2School competition, organised by Digi-Key Electronicswhich gives students the chance to enter a raffle or submit project ideas for a chance to win an entire InstaLab home lab, as well as many other prizes and kits. The initiative started on 8 September and 12 November is the deadline for submitting projects.
"Digi-Key is committed to helping students attend and successfully complete college, especially now that we are living through an unprecedented time in world history," said David Sandys, director of technical marketing for Digi-Key. "We want to offer all students valuable tools, products and resources that enable them to learn and create, enhance their skills and enrich their time at university."
How the Digi-Key initiative works
Students are invited to submit a draft of an innovative project to improve student life using electronic components or products available on the Digi-Key website. And, if they want to show off their skills, they can implement their idea, send in a video or photo demonstrating how it works and enter the InstaLab prize draw in the Grand Prize category. Two Grand Prize winners will be chosen, a first place winner and a Runner-Up, so there are two chances to win the InstaLab kit.
To enter the prize draw, simply provide your e-mail address, first and last name. To enter the competition, you must submit a project idea based on products and components identified on the Digi-Key website.
