Panasonic Industry Europe has become a Gold partner in the Ecosystem programme of NXP Semiconductor. The status of Gold Partner, assigned by NXP to market leading companies, contributes to strengthen the bond between the two companies in view of the development of increasingly advanced products. Panasonic and NXP thus confirm their strategic positioning in their respective technological fields and their commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions to their customers.
Wi-Fi solutions and microcontrollers
The close relationship between NXP Semiconductors and Panasonic allows customers to use the functionality of NXP's MCUXpresso software with integrated driver support for Panasonic Wi-Fi solutions such as the PAN9026 module combined with the i.MX RT MCU series. The PAN9026 Wi-Fi Dual Band and Bluetooth module supports Linux Full GPL for NXP's i.MX6 or i.MX8 and any other Linux-based application processor.
Pascal Meier, Panasonic Industry 's Marketing Manager for Sensors & Wireless Connectivity, says: "We are very proud to have received Gold partner status within the NXP member programme because our customers benefit from the knowledge and experience of Panasonic and NXP. With the combination of NXP's 88W8977 SoC on the PAN9026 module, for example, we were able to combine the most important short-range wireless technologies on a single chip. We design in Germany and manufacture in Slovakia and can provide our customers with the flexibility for a wide range of wireless applications."
