GMC Instruments Italy presents the new Metrahit | IM family, created with the idea of combining the functions of multimeter, milliohmeter and insulation meter in a single instrument. The solution is available in two models: Metrahit | IM e-drive, specifically for testing electrical systems of hybrid and electric vehicles, and Metrahit | IM xtra, for testing systems and motor windings.
All-in-one handheld multimeters
Metrahit|IM is a unique all-in-one handheld instrument, suitable for the most comprehensive and specific measurement functions in the field of electrical maintenance and inspection. The multimeter function allows it to be used for classical measurements on CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V electrical installations. The milliohmeter function allows accurate measurement of low resistance values in 4-wire technique (Kelvin Clamps) with 200mA or 1A test current. The measurement in 2-wire technique complies with EN61557, thus offering the possibility to use the Metrahit|IM on LV electrical installations. Finally, the insulation meter function allows you to check the good insulation of cables and conductors, and especially to search for faults in the windings of electric motors. Thanks to the COIL Adapter accessory, it is able to detect faults and short circuits between the windings of single and three-phase electric motors with a single measurement. An advantage in terms of both time and costs. The insulation measurement also offers the possibility of performing PI and DAR, specific tests to assess the goodness and tightness of the insulation.
