There are four new series of high density internal Ac-Dc power supplies that CUI proposes for medical and dental applications.
Housed in compact chassis-mount packages, the VMS-450B, VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS and VMS-450B-CNF power supplies deliver 450 W continuous power and are specifically designed for use in applications where space is at a premium and reliability and regulatory compliance are critical, such as medical and dental applications.
The features of the new AC-DC power supplies
The VMS-450B, VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS and VMS-450B-CNF power supplies comply with the EN 60601-1 (edition 3.1) medical safety standard for applications requiring a patient protection level of 2 MOPP and the 4th edition of EMC standards. These internal medical power supplies provide a 5 Vdc auxiliary output and power factor correction, and incorporate a variety of over-temperature, over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection features.
Featuring a standard footprint (3 x 5") and available in "open frame" format, the VMS-450B is ideal for all applications where space is limited and heat management is external to the unit.
The VMS-450B-CF, VMS-450B-CFS and VMS-450B-CNF are supplied in a metal case with different fan configurations for maximum flexibility:
- VMS-450B-CF - Top side fan
- VMS-450B-CFS - Side Fan
- VMS-450B-CNF - No fan
- VMS-450B - Open Frame
