Farnell is replenishing a wide range of personal protective equipment and hygiene products on a weekly basis to meet customer needs, a decision to increase the frequency of replenishment in response to a125 per cent increase in searches for personal protective equipment (PPE) and other essential products on Farnell's e-commerce site since the international pandemic emergency was declared on 30 January.
"Personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene products increase cleanliness, reduce the risk of bacterial build-up and help prevent the spread and transmission of infectious bacteria. These useful products are highly sought after for medical and healthcare use, but demand for these devices has grown dramatically as the world's population has begun to take important precautions to prevent the spread of the virus," reads Farnell's press release.
