IAR Systems continues its expansion into the Asian market with the opening of an office in India. For many years, the Swedish company, a producer of software and services for embedded development, has been supplying Indian companies through a channel of local partners. With the opening of the new location, IAR Systems is strengthening its presence in the region, which is characterised by growing demand and interesting development potential in the areas of security, services, safety and code quality, and, in cooperation with selected distributors, will be able to better serve its customers in the country.
"India is known for its many development centres and over the past two years the demand for our products has grown," comments Stefan Skarin, CEO and president of IAR Systems. "We started in 2020 with the opening of an office in Taiwan and now we intend to expand operations by opening in India." The Country Manager of the local office is Fanny Nordlöf, who says: "Thanks to our established presence in the country and industry relationships, we have been providing Indian embedded developers with high performance solutions for many years. Now we will work more closely with our customers here and be able to capture the future potential of the market." Operations at the new location are expected to commence in the third Quarter 2020.
IAR Systems, headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, has been in the market since 1983. Its solutions have been used in more than one million embedded applications. As of 2018, the Group also includes Secure Thingz, a provider of security solutions for embedded systems in the IoT.
