Powerbox is not only working diligently to reduce the inherent risk of Covid-19 to the ecosystem, but also to ensure that support and customer service continue without interruption. PRBX standard and custom power solutions are used in medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, remote patient monitoring, anesthesia machines, ultrasound, MRI, mobile X-ray equipment and more. Working closely with its customers and with the highest level of priority given to medical equipment maintenance, while maintaining service to all its customers, Prbx has established a dedicated Covid-19 Task Force to ensure business continuity during this challenging time.

The company, which is operating with most employees working remotely, has bolstered part of the workforce at its European manufacturing facilities and implemented actions to scale back operations to meet critical customer demand. If necessary, it has business continuity plans in place to address the potential impact of the pandemic crisis.

In many regions, Powerbox employees support customers engaged in the race to help medical care fight Covid-19. Tatsuo Yamamoto, CEO of Powerbox, said the top priority is to maintain the business continuity needed to provide support and service to customers around the world.

Prbx also donated protective masks to the Norrköping hospital in Sweden.

Ready to provide alternative solutions

In Europe and Asia teams are working to ensure receipt of the strategic components and sub-assemblies required to manufacture the power supplies. In the event of shortages of specific components, resulting in certain products being unable to be completed, our R&D and product management teams can work closely with customers to provide alternative solutions from the Prbx or Cosel ranges.

Some medical equipment requires specific, custom-engineered Psu's and it is critical for the companies that manufacture them to avoid disruption to their supply chain: to this end Powerbox has expanded its Swedish manufacturing lab, bringing in additional resources including support from the manufacturing team in Bremen, Germany.
