Mouser Electronics has signed a worldwide agreement with Zipcores, a company specialising in the development of IP (Intellectual Property) cores for FPGAs, ASICs and SoCs, under which it now makes Zipcores' DSP (Digital Signal Processing) mezzanine board available from stock.

The FMC-DSP mezzanine card from Zipcores

Designed for use with IF and baseband signals, Zipcores' FMC-DSP mezzanine card is ideal for use in applications requiring high-speed data recording and acquisition, SDR (Software Defined Radio), DSP and DSS (Digital Signal Synthesis). In addition, the integration of symmetrical and balanced dual A/D and D/A conversion channels allows the board to be used for processing complex I/Q signals such as those required by baseband I/Q modulation/demodulation schemes. The FMC board is compatible with all development boards that feature standard FMC-LPC or FMC-HPC connectors (ANSI/VITA 57.1), including those developed by Xilinx, Intel® and Digilent.

Zipcores provides a wide range of IP cores for a variety of applications, ranging from simple building blocks to more complex systems. Zipcores' IP cores are provided as source code written in easy-to-read VHDL (or Verilog) language and are compatible with FPGA, SoC and ASIC devices from leading manufacturers including Xilinx, Intel, Lattice and Microsemi. The company also offers a custom design service: if a particular core does not exactly meet the user's requirements, it can be modified accordingly.
