Covid-19: Maxim expands medical device production

Maxim Integrated Products accelerated production of its medical technologies to meet increased customer needs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Maxim 's semiconductor devices are used in medical equipment such as virus detection devices, ultrasound, laboratory testing equipment, ventilators, remote patient monitoring devices, intravenous blood monitors, Covid critical drug temperature recorders, pulse oximeters, IR remote thermometers, diabetic glucometers, anesthesia machines, and disposable blood pressure patches.

Not only technology to tackle Covid-19

In addition to accelerating technology production, Maxim Integrated helps protect the community at large. For example, it has donated N95 masks to hospitals in Portland and Silicon Valley and continues to conduct fundraisers to support other affected regions.

The company distributed personal protective equipment to frontline workers in Cavite, Philippines, and also provides weekly food contributions in the region. At the company's headquarters, employees participate in a donation campaign to support the Second Harvest Food Bank in which Maxim Integrated will match employee donations up to $20,000.

The company has also taken the necessary precautions as part of a comprehensive business continuity plan to help safeguard the health and safety of its employees, applying measures such as frequent disinfection of test equipment, social distancing and remote working for most employees.
