Messe München Shanghai, following directives from the Shanghai Municipal Government to prevent and control the spread of the Coronavirus, has postponed the electronica China, productronica China and Laser World of Photonics China events, which were due to take place in March.

The new trade fair calendar includes dates from 3 to 5 July 2020. Venue, Necc in Shanghai.

Stephen Lu, Chief Operating Officer of Messe München Shanghai, explained: "We are taking the spread of the coronavirus very seriously and are closely monitoring the local situation. Based on current developments, we are confident that by setting a new date we will create good conditions for organising the trade fairs." After intensive communication with exhibitors, Lu believes that: "despite the current uncertainties, the importance of our exhibitions at the Shanghai venue remains intact. There is still a great demand for participation in the exhibitions.

The numbers of electronica and productronica China in 2019

productronics ChinaIn 2019, electronica and productronica China occupied an area of  90,000 sqm, 12.5% more space than in the previous year. The exhibitors have been 1.586 (also up from 1,374 in 2018) from 24 countries and regions and the visitors have reached  92.695 (in 2018 there were 77,765).
